About Jute
Jute has been cultivated for more than 5000 years. It is known as the Golden Fibre of India because of its lustrous colour. Jute offers strength, high durability, versatility and low cost. It requires minimal use of fertilizers and pesticides. Jute cultivation makes a positive impact, absorbing 15 tons of carbon dioxide per hectare and releasing 11 tons of oxygen! It enriches the soil where it is planted.
The Process
Crafted from jute, our heels undergo a meticulous process. First, mature jute plants are harvested, then retted and stripped to obtain raw fibres. These fibres are softened, spun into yarn, and woven into the distinctive jute fabric for the heels. Skilled artisans cut and stitch the fabric, adding a sturdy jute sole for comfort. Finishing touches like smoothing and polishing ensure that each pair of our heels is impeccable.
